While there are better books detailing the records of both Custer and Stuart, none makes the comparisons that this book does. In isolation, each man appears to be head and shoulders above their piers, but comparing both in the same book, gives one a true comparison of their accomplishments and failures.

If you've seen the movies, "custer of the West" and "Custer's Last Stand," it is evident that there is no fiercer fighter than the American Indian. Jeffrey Hunter was Jesus and also Custer who was almost holy, It was George Armstrong Custer who received the white flag of truce from Robert E.
